Field Installer - Tensile Fabric (Traveling)
Job Description
Employment for Field Installation Crew will continue to be on a by job basis. Field installer has responsibility of installing fabric membrane structures at various job sites.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS: Other duties may be assigned.
Install and secure steel framing as instructed
Fits, fastens and secures fabric as instructed
Cuts, modifies, heat seals architectural fabric as instructed.
Inspect all tools before use. Any tools that are not in good working condition are to be given to a supervisor immediately or as soon as is practical.
If any unsafe working conditions arise, notify supervisor immediately.
Adhere to all safety rules – you are required to alert your supervisor to any unsafe working conditions
Adhere to all company policies – cell phone use, no smoking on job sites, no alcohol, damage to hotel rooms.
This field crew job description includes working from height, operation of man lifts, understanding appropriate rigging techniques and fall protection applications.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Notwithstanding, It is understood that Field Installers with greater experience are expected to provide guidance to less experienced members of the installation team that are working on the same task.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); one or two months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
From time to time employees may be required to participate in training related to their level of experience or for safety purposes or both. If any training is related to a specific project, the training compensation will be commensurate with the compensation of the project. Any additional training will be paid at normal pay scale.
LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write basic correspondence. Ability to effectively and understandably present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract multiply and divide.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to supply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to travel and reside at jobsite for duration of job. Special consideration made for special circumstances. Weekend or other overtime work will be required at times.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to high locations above the ground. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; low risk of electric shock, vibration. The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate, but on occasion can spike from equipment noise, the noise of other trades or other loud noises typical of construction job sites.
Hourly Rate will be $25.00-30.00/Hr based on experience
Per Diem $40.00/Day worked.
Lodging and flights provided.
