Yuma MCAS Entrance Gate Roof Redesign & Replacement

YUMA, ARIZONA

The shade structure for the entrance gate at the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma was re-engineered and re-installed by Span Systems. Deficiencies in the original design, fabric and attachment resulted in poor performance. These were corrected with new attachment points and increased fabric pre-stress. The project included adding new reinforcing to the structure.

All construction work was preformed at night to prevent daytime closure of the gate.
